This is a special midweek newsletter about the next in our Insider Event series. We hope you’ll join us!
The first step of most cookbook projects is the same: a great idea. But how do you know when you’ve got a great one? How do you know if it’s an idea that will attract the attention of agents and publishers?
We’ll answer these questions and more in a live pitch slam event with literary agent Sally Ekus on Wednesday, May 21st, 7 - 8:30 pm EDT / 5 - 6:30 pm PDT, and we hope you’ll join us.
There are two ways to attend this lively, 90-minute Zoom workshop:
Reserve a “pitch spot” and come prepared with a 30-second pitch outlining your cookbook idea (title, sub-title, and 3-line summary). Following each pitch, Sally and the EVCB hosts will provide detailed feedback on what works and offer suggestions for improvements and refinements. We encourage all kinds of pitches, from ideas in the early stages of development to well-polished ones. The number of pitch spots is limited ($55 per ticket), so reserve SOON if you’d like to pitch *There are also 2 equity spots available for individuals who want to pitch but may not have the resources available. Please email us at everythingcookbooks@gmail.com to request one of these spots.
Join us for the live pitch slam to listen and learn what goes into crafting an excellent cookbook pitch. General audience attendees ($25 per ticket) are invited to participate in the Q&A at the end of the workshop. Also, if you can’t attend the live event, anyone with a ticket will receive a link to the full recorded session.
When do we get the zoom link?
Can’t wait!
